     About the Role     

The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating daily schedules, communicating with customers and technicians, and ensuring jobs are completed efficiently. This position serves as the communication hub between the field and office teams.


Responsibilities include:

  • Scheduling and dispatching technicians to service calls and projects

  • Monitoring technician progress and adjusting schedules as needed

  • Answering incoming calls and assisting customers

  • Creating and managing work orders

  • Communicating arrival times and job updates to customers

  • Coordinating emergency and priority service requests

  • Assisting with invoicing and administrative tasks

  • Maintaining accurate customer records and job documentation

  • Supporting daily office operations

  • Participating in an on-call rotation every third week to coordinate after-hours service requests

This position is based in our office located in Mooresville, NC. The work environment is professional, fast-paced, and team-oriented. Dispatchers spend most of their day working on a computer, answering phones, coordinating schedules, and communicating with customers and field technicians. This role requires sitting for extended periods, frequent phone and computer use, and the ability to manage multiple priorities throughout the day. Team members work closely with management, technicians, and customers to ensure exceptional service and smooth daily operations.

     Requirements     

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum 2 years of customer service, dispatching, scheduling, or administrative experience

  • Strong communication and phone skills

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment

  • Dependable attendance and punctuality

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office

  • Ability to learn new software and processes quickly

  • Experience in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, construction, or home services preferred

  • Experience with Housecall Pro or similar field service software preferred
