About the Role
As a Licensed Plumber, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining plumbing systems for commercial and residential customers throughout the Greater Charlotte area. This position requires strong technical knowledge, leadership abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities include:
Diagnosing and repairing plumbing issues efficiently and accurately
Performing service, maintenance, installation, and replacement work
Troubleshooting water, sewer, gas, and drainage systems
Installing and servicing water heaters, fixtures, pumps, piping systems, and plumbing equipment
Performing commercial and residential plumbing installations and remodels
Reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and project plans
Identifying code compliance issues and recommending solutions
Completing detailed job documentation, notes, and photos
Communicating findings and recommendations with customers and management
Maintaining company vehicles, tools, and equipment
Following all company safety procedures and policies
Participating in an on-call rotation as scheduled
Assisting with training and mentoring apprentice and junior plumbers when needed
This role offers a wide variety of work including commercial service calls, apartment communities, restaurants, retail facilities, healthcare facilities, industrial properties, and plumbing projects. We are looking for plumbers who can diagnose problems, provide solutions, and take ownership of their work from start to finish.
While a plumbing license is preferred, experienced plumbers who are working toward licensure are encouraged to apply. We proudly support employees pursuing their license through training assistance and reimbursement programs.
This position is primarily field-based and involves traveling to commercial and residential job sites throughout the Greater Charlotte area. Work may take place in apartment communities, restaurants, retail centers, office buildings, healthcare facilities, industrial facilities, and residential homes.
Licensed Plumbers work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and may be required to lift heavy materials, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks. Requirements
Minimum 5 years of plumbing experience preferred
Current plumbing license preferred
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to pass a background check
Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
Experience with commercial and/or residential plumbing systems
Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and manage projects from start to finish
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor
Experience using smartphones and mobile applications for job documentation
Preferred Qualifications:
North Carolina plumbing license
Backflow certification
Experience leading projects and mentoring junior technicians
Experience with commercial service, remodels, and large-scale plumbing installations
